Stockpile Lip Liner Sole Plates

Recently, an important client required the rectification of 200 M36 studs in stock pile lip liner sole plates. A crew of eight personnel worked through five consecutive shifts to get it done in a very tight time-frame.

The process developed to carry out this contract required careful and accurate preparation of modular templates to accurately set the datum positions of a drilling and tapping process at each of the 200 locations in a very tight time-frame.

A crew of eight personnel worked through five consecutive shifts completing approximately 40 stud positions each shift by machining of a special 52mm thread into the sole plate and inserting pre-machined inserts and 36mm studs.
